The department currently has 5 senior consultant positions and 3 resident positions, and we work closely together with both primary care and private health care providers in the field og Opthalmology.</p><p><strong>We have approximately 18.000 outpatient consultations per year and perform, among other things:</strong></p><ul><li>eyelid surgery</li><li>strabism surgery</li><li>trabeculectomies and MIGS</li><li>cataract surgery</li><li>various lacrimal duct procedures</li><li>intravitreal injections with anti-VEGF agents / Ozurdex</li><li>laser treatment for a range of conditions</li></ul><p>Haugesund Hospital is the largest hospital in Helse Fonna. Haugesund is a coastal town with a long history, and the region has around 180,000 inhabitants.
